- The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.Below is a summary of the work to be performed:The consultant will provide high-level legal and technical support to the ILO, the MOL, and Palestinian tripartite constituents to advance the reform of Labour Law No. 7 of 2000. Core tasks include reviewing existing draft texts and prior legal assessments; consolidating relevant legislation and policy instruments; and conducting evidence-based analysis of the 14 contested provisions in light of international labour standards, with particular attention to fundamental principles and rights at work and comparative practice. The consultant will facilitate structured consultations and technical discussions with thematic teams and the national Tripartite Committee; propose ILS-aligned options; and draft and/or revise clear, justified legal wording that is practical for the Palestinian context. The role also entails preparing briefing materials and background notes to inform decision-making; supporting validation of proposed texts; and contributing to the finalization of a coherent, balanced, and technically sound revised Labour Law for submission to the authorities.
